Delayed Onset of Progressive Chorea After Acute Basal Ganglia Injury

Article Abstract
Chorea after anoxic injury is very rare. It has been reported after carbon monoxide poisoning and in 2 patients after heroin overdose. Here we describe a patient with chorea and dystonia as a result of bilateral basal ganglia lesions following anoxic brain injury from a drug overdose.
